In-Car Training

In unit two, participants will focus on driving theory assessment which involves a comprehensive understanding of traffic rules, road signs, laws, and safe driving practices.  

Focusing on the theory and practices of driving ensures a well-rounded preparation for integrating theory training into learner drivers lessons and preparing for the PDI Part One theory test.

Who is it for?

  • For Potential Driving Instructors undertaking training or ADIs wishing to update their training

Learning Outcomes

  • You will identify methods to learn driving theory and how to use a framework of different study materials that can be adapted to suit individual learning needs. 
  • You will be able to evaluate your learner drivers’ understanding of the theory of driving. 
  • You will be able to explain the use of road rules in different driving situations. 
  • You will be able to explain how using a progress report helps you in your theory training for yourself and your learner drivers.

What do you get?

  • Following the training day you can request an attendance certificate (this will count towards your 40 hours or 20 hours).
  • On completion of your in-car and online assignments you will be sent a completion certificate for Unit One. (You have six months to complete)
  • On completion of all thirteen units of the Introduction to Driving Education Award you will receive your full qualification certificate which is SCQF Level 5 | 25 credit points. (You have two years to complete all thirteen units)
