Introduction to Driving Education Award
Online Training
In unit eight, participants will be introduced to and gain an understanding of the goals for driver education framework and how to adapt it in driver education programs.
Participants will have the ability to explain the GDE principles clearly. They will also delve into the cause-and-effect relationships inherent in the driver training processes.

Who is it for?
- For Potential Driving Instructors undertaking training or ADIs wishing to update their training
Learning Outcomes
- You will be able to recognise and explain the different levels of GDE and how they link to driver training and road safety.
- You will be able to explain how to use the GDE matrix to create examples and scenarios.
- You will be able to explain how cause and effect is used in driver training and its implication for road safety.
What do you get?
- Following the training day you can request an attendance certificate (this will count towards your 40 hours or 20 hours).
- On completion of your online assignments you will be sent a completion certificate for Unit Eight. (You have six months to complete)
- On completion of all thirteen units of the Introduction to Driving Education Award you will receive your full qualification certificate which is SCQF Level 5 | 25 credit points. (You have two years to complete all thirteen units)
