Unit 4 - Delivering training for effective route planning and fault-finding

Diploma for Teaching the Introduction to Driving Education Award

In-Car Training

In unit four, participants will understand how to develop route planning and skills and understand the benefits of choosing various routes to their potential driving instructors.  They will explore how route decisions can enhance driving competencies and decision-making abilities with their potential driving instructors.

Participants will also develop their potential driving instructor's skills of identifying driver faults. This will equip candidates with a deeper understanding of different types of errors and the crucial link between levels of instruction and physical or verbal intervention.  This will result in their potential driving instructor's ability to plan more client-centred routes/lessons.
