Diploma for Teaching the Introduction to Driving Education Award

Online Training

In unit twelve, participants will introduce the benefits of CPD and how it can positively impact how driver trainers' work to their potential driving instructors.

Participants will learn about the importance of staying up to date with industry trends, regulations, best practices and their own self-development and how engaging in these activities enhances their teaching methods.  Reflecting on the importance of CPD for future challenges such as changing vehicle technology, sustainability and environmental impact.

Train the Trainer workshop

Who is it for?

  • For ADIs who are thinking about delivering Potential Driving Instructor training and are exploring Train the Trainer options.

Learning Outcomes

  • You will be able to explain what CPD is, its benefits and its importance in driver training.
  • You will be able to develop and submit a Continuous Professional Development record.
  • You will be able to discuss how you would motivate your PDI/ADIs to engage in CPD to ensure they and their business remain current with future changes and challenges 

What do you get?

  • Following the training day you can request an attendance certificate.
  • On completion of your online assignments you will be sent a completion certificate for Unit Twelve. (You have six months to complete)
  • On completion of all thirteen units of the Diploma for Teaching the Introduction to Driving Education Award you will receive your full qualification certificate which is SCQF Level 8 | 17 credit points. (You have two years to complete all thirteen units)
