Innovative Driving Education Academy Trainer
Johan comes from a corporate background; being the CIO and CISO for some major brands and still a consulting non-executive board member of companies. He has always loved training people and has done so over the past 30 years.
In 2014, he started instructing as a volunteer for RoSPA and IAM, as he has a passion for road safety. He also has a background in emergency services and understands the nuances of driving. He is ROSPA Gold certified for both cars and motorcycles. He holds the following certifications: IAM First, RoSPA Level 3 and Level 4 commercial instructor, DVSA ADI and DVSA Fleet trainer.
Currently he delivers fleet training for RoSPA which covers: training assessors, defensive driving, advance driving and riding and trailer training. He is also a senior instructor at one of the leading driving schools in the south east in which he trains new instructors and with the help of his wife he trains SEN students who go from being anxious to confident drivers.
In 2022, Johan made the conscious decision to change day job into his hobby and his hobby into his day job and says this was the best decision as he absolutely loves training people to become confident safe drivers and also training new instructors who in turn can train new confident safe drivers.
