How to cancel

Who can cancel

You can cancel if you bought the course for yourself. That means you did not buy it for a business, and not for the job you do. (clause 6.1 of our terms)

Buying for a business is different. Our terms say these rules do not apply to accredited driving instructors. (clause 2.1) Not sure which one you are? Email us and ask.

How long you have

You have 14 days. You do not have to give a reason. (clause 6.1)

The 14 days start when you get your receipt. We email it the moment your payment goes through. So it is the same day you pay. That is the day your contract with us starts. (clause 6.2)

Your receipt shows both dates. It shows the day the 14 days start, and the day they end. Please keep it. Send us your cancellation before that last day.

Opening your course ends this right

You are asking us to start right away if you do any of these in the 14 days:

• book a session with us
• open or download any of the course material
• join our private group
• open any other material we give you

(clause 6.3) Two things change from that moment:

1. If you cancel after that, you pay for the part of the course you have already had. We pay back the rest. (clause 6.3)
2. Once you open the course material, you cannot get that money back. The one exception is if it is faulty. (clause 6.5)

Do you want to keep all 14 days? Then do not open the course material until they are over.

How to cancel

You do not have to use our form. Any clear message is enough. It just has to tell us that you want to cancel. (Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, reg. 32(3))

Tell us your name, your address and what you bought. Then we can find your order. The form below asks for all of that.

Getting your money back

Have you asked us to start? If you have not, we pay back everything you have paid us. It goes back the same way you paid. The only exception is if we agree something else with you. (clause 6.4)

If you did ask us to start, it works differently. You ask us to start by opening the course, booking a session or joining the group. Then you pay for the part you have already had, and we pay back the rest. (clause 6.3)

We work that out for each unit. We split your course fee equally across the 13 units in it. You pay for the units you have opened. On the Level 8 diploma that is £153.77 a unit. So if you open two units and then cancel, you pay £307.54.

We send your refund within 7 days of you telling us you want to cancel. It goes back to the card or account you paid from. Your bank then decides how long it takes to show up. That part is not up to us.

After the 14 days, we do not pay back course fees. Clause 5.4 of our terms lists the only exceptions. (clauses 5.4 and 5.5)
