Introduction to Driving Education Award
In unit three, participants will discover the benefits of setting goals, including SMART goals. Participants will learn to reflect on their progress and make judgments to create better outcomes supporting more effective lesson planning.
Candidates will also develop skills to enhance their lesson-planning abilities and how to adapt the lesson to help a learner driver achieve their goals.
For Potential Driving Instructors undertaking training or ADIs wishing to update their training
You will understand the benefits and consequences of using goal-setting tools in driver training.
You will be able to outline how to adapt a lesson to help a learner driver reach their goals.
You will be able to describe and understand reflection and how to use goals in a driving lesson with learner drivers.
You will be able to summarise the benefits of feedback and its positive use in learning and driver training.
You will understand the connection between goal setting, reflection, and feedback in driver training.
You will be able to create a lesson plan to help learner drivers to achieve their goal.
