Unit 12 covers the benefits of continuous professional development (CPD) and how it can positively shape a driver trainer's work. Participants learn the importance of staying up to date with industry trends, regulations, best practice and their own self-development, and how engaging in these activities enhances their teaching methods. The unit also reflects on the role of CPD in meeting future challenges such as changing vehicle technology, sustainability and environmental impact.

Potential driving instructors undertaking training, or Approved Driving Instructors (ADIs) wishing to refresh and update their knowledge and instructional techniques.
