Unit 6 prepares you to introduce your potential driving instructors to the benefits of client-centred learning, the impact of neurodiversity, the causes of stress and anxiety, and how personality types affect learning. You also examine how independent driving decisions can promote a growth mindset, developing a greater knowledge and understanding of these topics and of how they support driver trainers and their student drivers at all levels.

Approved Driving Instructors (ADIs) who are thinking about delivering Potential Driving Instructor (PDI) training and are exploring Train the Trainer options.

Learning outcomes

  3. 03Understand common causes of nerves and anxiety and the use of stress management solutions
