Unit 4 covers how to develop route-planning skills and how to explain the benefits of choosing different routes to your potential driving instructors. You explore how route decisions can enhance driving competencies and decision-making abilities, and you develop your potential driving instructors' skills in identifying driver faults. This equips candidates with a deeper understanding of different types of errors and the crucial link between levels of instruction and physical or verbal intervention.

Approved Driving Instructors (ADIs) who are thinking about delivering Potential Driving Instructor (PDI) training and are exploring Train the Trainer options.

Learning outcomes
